Cancun... a romantic getaway?

When people talk about Cancun, they think about crazy college spring break, beach parties...etc. Few of my friends just came back from Cancun, and they were totally impressed, and no, they did not see any "girls gone wild" action there. There are many things you can enjoy in Cancun, from fine dining, entertainments, amazing beaches with all kinds of water activities, such as, scuba diving, surfing, swimming with dolphins, assisting mother turtles during nesting, golf, spa, shopping, jungle adventure, and one of the 7 wonders of the world, the Chichen-Itza is just 3 hours away from Cancun!

Many of the Caribbean resorts offer all inclusive packages, and the US dollar is still somehow strong there! Trip is on, and we are going to Cancun in July. If you're planning to spoil yourself, there's a promotion going on at the Ritz- Carlton's website.

The Reconnect® package includes:
Overnight accommodations in an ocean view room, ocean front room or ocean view suite
Daily buffet breakfast for two (gratuity included)
A $100 daily resort credit for use at dining outlets, spa and recreation activities
** May 1 to December 19, 2008: Starting from $339 USD per night*

Not a bad deal for a five-star hotel! Cancun is a perfect place to plan a bachelorette party, mini honeymoon or destination wedding!

Happy Summer!

June Wedding in Los Altos

Flowers that I did for the 6/7/08 wedding. Call me silly, but I love dates like 7/7/07 or 8/8/08 (Olympics!). You just can't forget your anniversary this way since it's such an easy date to remember! The groom and bride also share the same first name. Isn't that the coolest coincidence?

May Wedding in Palo Alto

I coordinated and provided flowers for this wedding in May. The groom is a Palo Alto based tax lawyer, and the bride is a PhD student from Stanford, so when the couple began to plan their wedding, they knew they would want to have their wedding ceremony and reception in Palo Alto. The ceremony was at this gorgeous Stanford Memorial Church and the reception was at the beautiful Garden Court Hotel in downtown Palo Alto. Since the bride's name is Candy, so they had a candy theme reception and it was definitely a big hit! Guests were munching candies the whole night!

The Bride is a very sweet and genuinely nice person. She was relaxed on her wedding day, and allowed me to make any decisions for her. They were such a great couple to work with and a lot of fun. I enjoyed working with the staff from Garden Court Hotel, they were courteous and attentive throughout the night. I also enjoyed working with WowPretty, Fog City DJ and Lisa James Photography crew, they were very professional and easy to work with.

After the wedding, I took my assistant for a sweet treat at the nearby Red Mango, which just opened a month ago. I love that place!

Sprinkles Cupcakes!

I have a confession to make... I have a sweet tooth and adore cupcakes! Sprinkles Cupcakes is one of my favorite cupcake shops, so when I heard that they are coming to Palo Alto, I was overly excited and went to check out the new storefront. The store will be opened in summer 2008 at Stanford Shopping Center (back side) in Palo Alto!

Cupcake wedding cakes are so trendy these days. They are slightly cheaper than the traditional wedding cakes and they look so cute! If you are thinking to have a cupcake wedding cake, you might want to stop by here first!
